Research

Broadly speaking, my research focuses on gender, work and organizations, workplace discrimination and harassment, and women’s employment in the gaming/gambling industry.

I have published extensively in sociology, hospitality, and tourism journals, on topics such as the impact of sexual harassment on women’s health and well-being in the sector, the gender leadership gap in commercial and Tribal gaming, and the policy implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on women’s employment and well-being within gaming. Currently, I am working on my qualitative dissertation book project which explores gender, racial, and sexual harassment of women in the gaming industry. I’m interested how women negotiate harassment at work and the implications of these experiences on their careers, health and well-being.
